The Alert Project Initiated by The Select Group of
Companies in 2008, the Alert project was an R&D project run by a consortium of leading
European experts and funded in part by the EUís Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) from 2010-2013.
The Alert Project's R&D objective was to develop cutting edge technology in the
form of the world's 1st real-time, affordable and portable detector of lethal
airborne asbestos fibres. ALERT stands for:- Asbestos Locating Equipment in Real Time.
Alert Today Following the successful completion of the its FP7 funded R&D phase,
consortium initiator and exploitation manager, The Select Group of Companies, are spinning out a new company called
Alert Technology Ltd which is solely focused on the commercialization of the Asbestos ALERT range of warning devices.
Alert Technology currently has two models ready for rapid commercialization and are looking to raise the equity
investment needed to fast track Alertís global market launch, create new jobs in the area and to begin research
and development on new industry specific models.
Alert Technology Ltd is looking to raise a total of up to £2.5m over the next two years. Alert have on board NCL,
a London based venture capitalist investors who specialise in investments in pre-revenue disruptive technology
primed to for commercialisation. To raise the balance of funds needed Alert are running a crowdfunding campaign
